An immersive, interactive theatrical experience crafted around Wizardry!
WORKSHOP: April 2 – 6, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., includes lunch.
Grab your wands and robes and join us for this one week intensive workshop where the wizarding school students will be in on the beginning stages of developing an interactive theatrical tour at OTA. Not only will they explore potential characters and scenes to use to create the event, they will also unlock the magic of costuming, props and sets to support the acting roles.
At the end of the week, the students will showcase their discoveries with a performance highlighting their magical journey.
Workshop tuition is $175 ($150 for OTA Family Members). Tuition assistance is available. Lunch is included in the Workshop.
CLASS SESSION: April 11 – May 27, 2018, Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., includes a march in the Sequim Irrigation Festival Parade and two special performances on May 26 and 27!
The class session following the workshop will advance the process of performance production with auditioning and casting for acting roles and continued production-team wizardry. The wizarding scholars will continue to complete the process of creating the “School of Wizardry” interactive event, open to the public on Memorial Day weekend, May 26 and 27. They will also prepare a fun-filled and magical mobile preview for the Irrigation Festival Parade on May 12.
