Children’s Theatre

OTA Children’s Theatre offers one week workshops during school holiday breaks and ten week class sessions after school between holiday breaks. There are also production opportunities during the summer months.

WINTER CHILDREN’S THEATRE CLASSES

Jellybeans

Returns on Tuesdays, beginning January 14th – March 17th from 3:30-4:30 p.m. , ages 4-8. This ten week class session with Lorra Cornetet explores the wonders of creative story-telling and theatre basics through imaginative, interactive games. The final class ends with a showcase presentation to parents and invited guests where these enthusiastic thespians show us what they have learned. To sign up, CLICK HERE.

The Renaissance of the Bard!

Starts on Wednesdays, beginning January 15th – March 18th from 3:30-5:30 p.m., ages 8-18. This ten week class session builds confidence in acting, voice and spacial awareness wrapped into a Shakespearean Renaissance of the Bard. A special opportunity will also be available to work with adult actors in OTA’s Renaissance Faire coming up in March. To sign up, CLICK HERE.


SPRING YOUTH THEATRE 5-DAY WORKSHOP

Stage Magic!

Begins Monday, March 30th – Friday, April 3rd from 9am – 3pm, ages 8-18. This full week workshop prepares youth actors in the challenging skill of the audition (projection, memorization, spatial movement). The workshop includes guest instructors in voice and dance. This workshop will also include technical studies in the stage arts for students who prefer the back stage where the rest of the magic is practiced with sound, lights, costumes, sets and props.
